Whether you are an ECT or an experienced practitioner, if you are passionate about teaching creative technologies, and committed to helping your pupils achieve their full potential, West Exe wants to hear from you. The faculty of Creative Technologies incorporates Design Technology, Computer Science, Creative iMedia, Business and Enterprise and Photography into its exciting curriculum offer. The underpinning vision is to equip all students with the knowledge and skills to meet the demands of a technology driven world.

We are looking to recruit a teaching professional to play an active role in our continued drive to create outstanding life chances for our students. In all our decisions, our students come first, whether that be carefully selecting the right students for the right course, engaging them in the wonders of the digital world or deciding which extra-curricular activities to offer. A successful candidate will share these values and help to ensure that a student focussed approach is always at the forefront of our decision making.

We are committed to providing the very best environment for professional growth, believing that this is key to fostering an innovative and a progressive atmosphere. Each member of the department plays a part towards moving our vision forwards – with everyone having the opportunity to lead on some aspect of the curriculum or school life. Regardless of your years of experience, if you are reflective in your approach and have a desire to continuously improve your practice, this is the school for you.

The Ted Wragg Trust is an ambitious and inclusive Trust of Schools strengthening our communities through excellent education.  Formed in 2013 with the aim of creating an outstanding educational experience for all of Exeter’s children no matter what their background or aptitudes, the Trust has since grown from a one school Trust to a 12 school Multi-Academy Trust and is responsible for the education of over 7000 children aged between 2-16.

The Ted Wragg Trust has the highest expectations for every child, every day, with social justice at our core. We are determined for everyone to fulfil their greatest potential, to be the best that they can be. Our inclusive Trust has a relentless commitment to help transform lives through learning.

The Ted Wragg Trust puts children at the centre of all we do. We deliver a high quality, knowledge rich and inspiring curriculum. Our caring and inspirational team work together to equip students with the knowledge, skills and experience to become compassionate and courageous citizens, determined to make the world a better place.

Finally, we believe in being welcoming to all, students and practitioners alike and always value the opportunity to discuss the department and creative technology teaching with others.  If you wish to arrange a visit, please contact the school on 01392 660100.
